How to export auctions from Non Woo (Ultimate WordPress Auction) to Pro plugin?

Overview

From Non Woo version 4.3.5, you can export your auctions into a CSV file and import them into Ultimate WooCommerce Auction Pro. You do not need to create each auction again. Every auction is created in Pro as a WooCommerce product with the type Auction.

Before you start

  • Update Non Woo to version 4.3.5 or later.
  • On the Pro site, WooCommerce and Ultimate WooCommerce Auction Pro are activated.
  • Use the same timezone (Settings → General) and currency on both sites.
  • Keep the Non Woo site online during the import, because the images are downloaded from it.

Step 1: Export auctions from Non Woo

  1. Go to Ultimate Auction → Manage Auctions.
  2. At the top right, select All Auctions, Live Auctions or Expired Auctions.
  3. Click Export CSV. The CSV file downloads to your computer.


Step 2: Import auctions into the Pro plugin

  1. On the Pro site, go to Products → Import.
  2. Choose the CSV file and click Continue.
  3. All columns are mapped automatically. Click Run the importer.
  4. When it's done, your auctions are listed in Products with the type Auction.


What data is moved

Moved: title, description, short description, images, opening price, lowest price to accept, bid increment, Buy Now price, start date and end date.

Not moved: bids, bidders, users, winners, payment method and videos.

  • Live auctions are created with no bids, and users can bid on them as normal.
  • Expired auctions show as ended, with no winner.

Tip: the Pro plugin may send "auction ended" emails for expired auctions. To avoid this, disable auction emails in WooCommerce → Settings → Emails during the import.

Troubleshooting

"Error getting remote image" or "A valid URL was not provided"

The Pro site cannot download an image. Make sure the Non Woo site is live (not localhost   or .local  ), not in maintenance mode, and that the image link opens in a browser.

Products were "skipped"

The auction already exists. Tick Update existing products when importing to update it.

Auction end time is different

Set the same timezone on both sites and import again.

Export CSV button not showing

Update Non Woo to version 4.3.5 or later, and log in as an Administrator.
